EDUCATOR GUIDE / SCHOOL VISITS
~ AUTHOR VISITS ~
Students throw down between teams for the best story lines at one of Kate’s high school visit.
Kate’s Reluctant Reader school and library visit program is suitable for grades 6 through high school. This includes four sessions per day, which can be a combination of talks to large groups and small creative writing workshops, as desired.
The cost is $500 per day plus all travel expenses such as airfare and hotel if needed. No travel expenses are charged within a reasonable driving distance of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A half-day sessions are $200 (usually I can fit 2-3 sessions in that time). As always, Kate will do her best to accommodate the financial abilities and budgets of any school that wishes to have her visit.
Classes which choose to read one of the author’s novels (and request an in-school visit) can qualify for free Kindle copies of the book for each participant. An educator guide for teachers can be downloaded here: COMMON CORE GUIDE
Kate is also available by Skype or Facetime on a limited basis. A 50-minute Skype session with Kate is $50 (or free, if the class has read one of novels).
Book ordering forms will be provided to the school for any students who wish to purchase books before or during the visit.
